Tal R was born in Israel and lives and works in Denmark. He is a painter and graphic artist educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. His paintings and collages are expressive, kitsch and colourful. Tal R is a collector. He collects objects that inspire him and add a strange aura and peculiar additions to his work. He has been involved in the decoration of the Opera House in Copenhagen and was among the artists chosen to refurbish the Palace of Frederic VIII, home of the Danish Crown Prince and Crown Princess. Tal R is represented at all the major museums in Denmark and was awarded the Eckersberg Medal in 2002 and the Carnegie Award in 2004. Tal R is exhibiting all over the world.
